With an NHS career spanning more than 24 years, Jo-Anne has held a number of senior operational and strategic management posts in the NHS, broadly in the areas of human resources management, organisational development and communications. Jo-Anne has experience working in a range of organisations in Yorkshire and the North West of England, including secondary and tertiary providers, primary care trusts, health authorities, and at the Department of Health.
She is a graduate of the University of Liverpool and holds a master’s degree in Strategic Human Resources Management from Durham University, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Public Relations from Leeds Metropolitan University. Jo is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
Jo-Anne is now the Director of Health Partnerships at the University of Leeds and the Chief Operating Officer of the Leeds Academic Health Partnership (LAHP), one of the biggest partnerships of its kind in the UK. The Partnership comprises leading expertise from all of Leeds’ NHS organisations, three of the city’s universities and Leeds City Council.
