Wendy represents the Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust at the Leeds Centre for Personalised Medicine and Health Board. In addition to being a full-time consultant psychiatrist (specialising in Older People’s Mental Health), Wendy is the clinical lead for Research and Development in her Trust and has been the Principal Investigator for a number of pharmacological and non-pharmacological studies in a range of mental health problems. She has a Masters in Management and Leadership in the Public Sector with a particular interest in leading for change and innovation, and has been the Deputy Medical Director in her Trust since 2014.
Beyond her organisation Wendy has been involved in various local, regional and national initiatives to help develop standards and improve services for people with mental health problems and dementia. She has been an expert advisor to NICE and Health Education England/Skills for Health and is currently the Royal College of Psychiatrists Deputy Regional Advisor for Yorkshire and the Humber.
