With an NHS career of more than 25 years, Sharon has worked within Specialised Commissioning for nearly three of those years. She is responsible for cancer, blood and infection programmes of care for Yorkshire and Humber which has a varied and broad range of services. Sharon is a cancer alliance board member across Yorkshire and Humber providing a strategic specialised commissioning opinion to ensure continuity across the region. Alongside working with national commissioners to reduce inequity and drive quality across the region.
Sharon has had a varied career with more than 10 years working at a strategic commissioning level initially working in Bradford and Airedale Primary Care Trust and latterly at Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven Clinical Commissioning Group. Sharon is a graduate of Leeds Metropolitan University with a degree in Business Studies and holds an MSc in Leadership, Management and Change in Health and Social Care from Bradford University.
